Regular Seeds Description
Regular cannabis seeds (Regs) are the original, natural form of cannabis seeds. They are produced by pollinating a female cannabis plant with a male plant. Which results in seeds that have a 50/50 chance of developing into either a male or a female plant. This is in contrast to feminized seeds. Which are specifically bred to produce only female plants.
Regular cannabis seeds have been around for thousands of years and have been used for various purposes. Including medicinal, industrial, and recreational use. They can be grown indoors or outdoors. The resulting plants can vary greatly in size. Shape. And potency depending on the strain and growing conditions.
One advantage of Regs is that they offer a wider variety of strains and genetic diversity compared to feminized seeds. This is because the genetic makeup of each seed is unique, and the resulting plants can have different characteristics and effects depending on their genetic makeup.
However, one disadvantage of Regs is that there is a 50% chance that the resulting plant will be male. Which is not desirable for many growers because male plants do not produce flowers (buds) and can also fertilize female plants. Leading to reduced yields and lower quality buds.
Overall, Regs are a natural and traditional option for growing cannabis. That offers a wider variety of strains and genetic diversity compared to feminized seeds. But also comes with the risk of producing unwanted male plants. Which is not desirable for many growers, Leading to reduced yields and lower quality buds.
